Basically, blood pressure fluctuates because our body regulates blood pressure as needed. It is usually low in relaxed situations or during sleep. It increases with physical exertion. Stress or anxiety also cause blood pressure to rise. As we age, blood pressure increases in most people. If blood pressure is permanently elevated, it can damage blood vessels over time. This increases the risk of various diseases.

Increased blood pressure is usually not felt. Only when it is extremely high does it sometimes cause symptoms such as dizziness and impaired vision.
In the case of mild hypertension (around 140/90 mmHg), the following measures already help to reduce blood pressure back to normal. A healthy, active lifestyle is recommended in any case:
