#sosmart: Using digitization for my health
Digital services#philosophy
The SmartPraxis stands for better general medical care, hand in hand with the patient. As general practitioners, we are the first point of contact when looking for medical help. This means: the more uncomplicated, closer and better we make our offer, the easier it is to integrate health into personal everyday life.
With state-of-the-art diagnostics, video consultations, electronic data exchange, and apps on prescription and many other digital services, we make sure that going to the doctor gets faster and more efficient. This way we avoid long waiting times and help you to schedule preventive appointments or vaccinations at an early stage instead of putting them on the back burner.
Our goal is to always maximise the potential of digital technologies to make an easier and healthier life possible for our patients. After all, digitalisation is a means to an end and should serve us humans. That is our understanding of smart general medicine.
#sosmart: Getting rid of worries instead of carrying them arround with me
Preventive care and check-ups#ourprinciples
Modern GP medicine
SmartPraxis stands for an active concept of health. All technological possibilities are used to support an individual and healthy lifestyle.
Partnership
Doctor and patient decide together and in partnership on the used procedures. Digitalisation promotes dialogue and maintains it continuously.
Accountability
We see our patients as empowered individuals who want to have a good sense of how they can increase their well-being. The SmartPraxis takes these individual perspectives seriously and complements them through their professional medical expertise.
Personal responsibility
Our patients want to decide on many aspects of their lives themselves. As a “GP 2.0”, we are there to support and help them to optimise their health just as much as their financial or insurance portfolio. We wish that opening our patient app “Health Record” at some point will be just as natural as looking at the online broker.
Networking
Digitalisation
Digitalisation combines all three core areas of our practice: patient services, treatment and practice management.
From our point of view, the potential of digitalisation in medicine is by no means exhausted. As ambassadors, we want to promote more digitalisation for the benefit and well-being of patients and thereby sustainably improve the health system.

#equipment
Our surgeries are equipped with high-quality modern technical equipment. This includes an ultrasound machine with Doppler function as well as a convex probe, a linear probe and an echocardiography probe. Furthermore, we have a spirometer, a 12-lead ECG, a 24-hour ECG and a 24-hour blood pressure monitor and an ergometry unit available.
We use the ultrasound scanner to examine the organs of the abdominal cavity as well as the neck (thyroid gland) and the carotid artery. The echocardiography is used to investigate the function and structure of the heart via special ultrasound technology. The spirometer measures the respiratory volume and the air flow velocity among other things and so provides information about the lung function with diseases such as asthma bronchial disease or COPD. The 24-hour blood pressure measurement can create a comprehensive profile of blood pressure behaviour and thus diagnose and control high blood pressure.
The electrocardiogram records the heart’s action. This allows for the detection of arrhythmias and disorders of the heart muscle function.
